Hiring Shayla as our day of coordinator was the best decision we ever made! She is detail oriented and truly cares about making your day the most special it can be. She has great suggestions and most importantly, experience! She knows what questions to ask during vendor consultations and can put you at ease with solutions for your most pressing concerns. Whether its how to run the ceremony, to ensuring you stay hydrated (and fed) during your photos, Shayla does not overlook any details. She was always available for phone calls and responds promptly to emails and text messages. She also coordinates with all of your vendors and runs your day smoothly, so you can feel at ease and enjoy your big day! After the wedding, everyone from family members to the bridal party, agreed that we couldn’t imagine how the day would have went without her. Shayla is a lifesaver. The second we found out we had to move (not in our plans at all!) and coordinate our DC wedding from San Francisco, we knew we needed help. Shayla was amazing at negotiating contracts, helping secure vendors, and keeping us on a schedule without feeling like we had homework. Several times she pushed back on contracts, had vendors bid against each other, and generally just saved us money in places we wouldn’t have thought to look. My husband and I both lead very busy lives and calls with Shayla were always efficient and left us excited for the big day. Shayla knows her stuff and her experience really pays off. From suggesting decor companies and makeup artists to a DJ when we decided we wanted one at the last minute, she has a list of contacts that are vetted and will get the job done. The day of Shayla and her assistant Belicia ran a nearly perfect event. Our ceremony was 30 min away from the reception so we had a point person at each site, overseeing the vendors. On our wedding day, Shayla made several decisions that needed to be made and I’m so glad she did. At our ceremony site she made an executive decision to drape the entire floor instead of just a runner and looking back on the pictures it was the best decision. You can trust her, 100%. Yes, a wedding planner/coordinate costs money and initially, that can seem like a lot to pay, but in the long room they (and especially Shayla!) are worth every dollar. We had a nearly stress-free wedding day and that’s all due to her experience, stellar customer service, and upbeat attitude. She will make sure get things done and knows how to keep everyone (even kooky family members!) in line. She has an incredible sense of humor and knows how to read her clients and deliver an amazing experience. We had a blast working with Shayla and we cannot recommend her more highly.
Words cannot express my gratitude for Shayla. My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was absolutely PERFECT. She truly brought my vision to life and helped make such an amazing day. Shayla is a top-notch planner and I am incredibly lucky to have worked with her. She was always so organized, ahead of schedule, and made me feel sane and comfortable. All phone calls, meetings, and emails were taken care of quickly, with follow up notes, and we were always prepared. I never worried about where anything stood.
